TAO is a celebration of Indigenous knowledge, blended with cognitive science and philosophy that enables people and their communities to unleash the potential in and around us.

The purpose that drives this work is to share the tāonga that has been gathered over many years of community-based work. TAO is also a portal where expert practitioners offer masterful, uplifting knowledge, and stories that will give rise to potent learning experiences.

Within TAO is a range of courses that will increase over time. The inaugural program Te Rito, which launchesd on September 7th, 2019, focusses on providing Rangatahi with a 12-week pathway program, that supports them to reveal their most powerful and potent gifts to the world.

The working model in TAO is based on the three baskets of knowledge or ngā kete o te wānanga.

Kete Tuauri

• The Wairua is a powerful navigating tool for a breakthrough and flourishing life.

Kete Tuaatea

• That Mana enhancing relationships are great gifts and is how Aroha is authentically expressed.

Kete Aronui

• That tikanga and core values must be aligned in powerful and real ways in life.

Courses

• TAO courses vary in structure and length. From online formats to coaching, blended programs, where you can choose the subject and how you learn. 
• Te Rito, the rangatahi course, is divided into 12 weeks. The Pou or learning modules contain various activities that you can complete within the week, each one built from a sequence of straightforward steps, to help you learn the core ideas, and to, more importantly, take action.
• While you’re waiting for the Pou/module to start, you can fill in your account profile so that other Tauira can learn more about you. Once registered, You can find your profile on the icon at the top right of the screen.
• Administrators will email you with course logistics and material needs. 
• Once the Pou begins, a link will appear on the Tauira Ipurangi or dashboard. 
• Each week, the completion of the Pou will trigger the opening of the next week's Pou. 
  
• You can learn by watching videos and reading articles. 
• Every article, video, or piece of audio has a space to allow learners to comment and ask questions. You can discuss topics with each other, and your personal Coach will offer guidance weekly and answer questions. 
• There is a discussion field, where you will be given a topic to talk over with other Tauira. This is a good way to learn and deep information.
